“Των Ψυχών”
Τα τελευταία χρόνια έχουμε γίνει μάρτυρες άγριων σφαγών εκατοντάδων αθώων πολιτών: Σε πυκνοκατοικημένες συνήθως μεγαλουπόλεις ανά τον κόσμο ομαδικοί τόποι διασκέδασης δυτικού τύπου βάφονται με το αίμα αθώων πολιτών.
Άνθρωποι με διαταραγμένο ψυχισμό, οπλισμένοι σαν αστακοί, σκορπούν το θάνατο σε Αμερικάνικα σχολεία, πάντα με την ανοχή του νόμου για την οπλοκατοχή!
Οι εικόνες της κόλασης από βομβαρδισμούς και εν ψυχρώ εκτελέσεις αθώων (και ιδιαίτερα παιδιών) που προέρχονται από πεδία μαχών και φυλετικές εκκαθαρίσεις κατακλύζουν επίσης τις οθόνες μας.
Σε όλη αυτή τη βαρβαρότητα έρχεται να προστεθεί άλλη μια, ο χαμός κατά χιλιάδες αθώων προσφύγων και μεταναστών, που πνίγονται στα αφιλόξενα νερά των θαλασσών της νότιας Ευρώπης.
Στο βίντεο εμφανίζονται οι εικόνες των θυμάτων, όπως κυκλοφορούν ευρέως στο διαδίκτυο, ενώ συγχρόνως ακούγεται η φωνή ενός ορθόδοξου ιερέα που διαβάζει τα χριστιανικά ονόματα σε μια πραγματική τελετή ενός ψυχοσάββατου. Έτσι η Ορθόδοξη Εκκλησία -έστω εν αγνοία της- αποτίει φόρο τιμής σε όλα αυτά τα αθώα θύματα -ετερόδοξα ή αλλόθρησκα- χωρίς να παίρνει υπόψη της
το θρησκευτικό πρόσημο! Μια ουτοπική, έντονη επιθυμία μου που μπορεί να πάρει σάρκα και οστά μόνο με τη γλώσσα της τέχνης!
"Dead Souls day"
The recent years we have been witnesses in wild slaughters of hundreds of innocent people: Usually in big populous cities all over the world, places of west type of entertainment get painted in blood of innocent citizens. Psychologically unstable people fully armed, spread death around in American schools, always under the tolerance of the law regarding gun possession! The images of hell from bombings and executions in cold blood of innocent people (especially kids) coming from battle fields and racial clearings, also flow in our screens. In all this barbarism another one is added, the loss of hundreds of innocent refuges and emigrants who get drowned in to the unwelcoming sea waters of South Europe.
In this video, images of the victims appear, since they are widely spread on internet, while at the same time we can hear the voice of an Orthodox priest who is reading the Christian names of dead people in a real ceremony of a Dead souls Saturday. In this way the Orthodox Church - even without knowing it- pays tribute to all these innocent victims -heterodox or of other religion- without taking the religion sign into account.
It is an utopian, strong desire of mine which can only take shape through the language of art!
